I think your twitch TV project is great. It fulfills all the user stories spot on.
The only thing I would add is perhaps the number of viewers per channel.
That would give the user an idea of how interesting each channel is, perhaps.
When you are more advanced, you could also animate the appearance and disappearance of the users.
(Not that I know how to do that yet, but that is the goal for my twitch project.)
Anyway, nice job. Keep going!
