Unable to sign-in to freeCodeCamp after the recent curriculum update

Hello everyone! I just heard that the freeCodeCamp curriculum got updated. So I visited the freecodecamp.org website. It asked me to signin using the email or the previously used login methods such as Github, Facebook, Twitter, etc. I have always signed in using Github, so I went with that option. It signed me in but I was redirected to https://www.freecodecamp.org/update-email and I saw this message on the page :

New privacy laws now require that we have an email address where we can reach you. Please verify your email address below and click the link we send you to confirm.

I tried to access other pages such as the new curriculum or the settings, but it again redirects me to https://www.freecodecamp.org/update-email. So, I entered the email associated with my Github profile into the text field asking me to verify my email. But I get this message :

<my_email> is already associated with another account.

Can anyone help me with this. I cannot access anything on the freeCodeCamp website except this forums page.

It sounds like you maybe have two accounts? You can click log in with email => enter your email => go to your inbox and get the passcode => then use it to log in - you can just stop here and stay logged on and use that account - or if you want to try and use the github account you could go and change your email once logged in by going here https://www.freecodecamp.org/update-email and changing it to a different email => then you should be able to log out and go login with github again and your email should be available to use… your email might be in use with a second account if you logged in once using the login with email method - it would have created an account with that email and it not be associated with your github account - i think this would work anyway
