# Understanding Uninitialized Variable need help with c

Tell us what’s happening:

Im not sure how to create a what its asking me if somesone coulse explain what I need to do thatd be great, I only need help for c,

``````
// Initialize these three variables
var a = 5;
var b = 10;
var c =
// Do not change code below this line
a = a + 1;
b = b + 5;
c = c + " String!";
``````

User Agent is: `Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/75.0.3770.100 Safari/537.36`.

The instructions say

Initialize the three variables `a` , `b` , and `c` with `5` , `10` , and `"I am a"` respectively so that they will not be `undefined` .

So far you have a defined as `5`, b defined as `10`. Now, you need c to be defined as `"I am a"`. How are you going to do that? It’s the same idea as the first two, except you’ll give it the string `"I am a"` instead of a number.

Why does c = c “I am a strong”
I typed in “I am a” and it passed so How do that equal “String!”

you need to whole at whole code

at the beginning you have

``````var c = "I am a";
``````

now `c` is equal to `"I am a"`
then there is

``````c = c + " String!";
``````

this concatenate this piece of string to the previous value of `c` so now its value is `"I am a String!"`
