Before I start if what I am asking, has already been answered somewhere else, there already a general thread on forum change to ask this (I tried to find one) or otherwise there is better method to for me to ask let me know.
Main Body
I have noted a lot of (appears to be exactly 50) older threads of mine have been unlisted, I suspect this wide scale unlisting has happening to users forum wide, rather for a me specific reason. I am not arguing with this; from a purely personal perspective, they are no longer relevant to me and it up those those with forum responsibility to judge their usefulness to others. However I feel particularly in context of forum changes specifically the areas I am unsure about that I will go onto, it beneficial to know why. I have some ideas why it has been done but I will leave my guess’s to myself and let you explain. Beyond saying I am aware the unlisting may be temporary or there may be a decision to consolidate the information in my thread and others in some form rather than a straightforward permanent thread hide.
Onto my other point I do not feel I understand some what is said in the thread linked, particularly the statement in the thread link above.
LLMs got good at giving quick answers to more immediate programming questions.
I thing the best way to ask the hear if following statement are true false or somewhere in middle.
The remit of forum has broadened reflecting at least in part how people have been wanting to use it recently. 2. The part of it in focused on help with freeCodeCamp courses is largely unchanged expect for likes of a change of filling system for lack of a better word.
You are expected/strongly encouraged to try and solve your issue with AI before making a thread. Though it can or should be the last resort after the likes or trial and error, internet search and reading the forum.
Note: Statement one and two were originally one I broke them apart for readability therefore due to this Statement 1 is the one I would least like to know about and potentially the worst written to get across, what I would like it to.
Just to clarify: None of your forums posts have been unlisted. Many have been closed, but this is done 28 days after the last reply.
You probably are referring to getting many notifications about a lot of your posts, and you likely received most of these notifications because the posts have been moved from one sub-forum to another. The state of the posts has not recently changed - the forum has just been restructured.
Definitions:
unlisted - an unlisted topic no longer appears in the public timeline, and is no longer indexed by search engines.
closed - a closed topic can no longer receive new replies. There is no visibility change.
Hope this clarifies unlisted vs closed, and why you might have recently received many notifications for old posts.
So the eye with a line through means closed. Have looked again particularly knowing what I am looking for, I can see indications it is what you are saying it is.
various categories were hidden but still existing, the topics were not accessible while inside the hidden categories, but now the topics should have all been moved to their new homes and be accesssible again
Yes looking again it is does appear all the notifications (at least the ones I checked) relates to relisting (whatever the term is) my threads I wish it was easier to tell what changes have been made. I do not think I received notification of their delisting presumably, this is some quirk of the system.
When you know what you are looking for, it kind shows the unlisting being removed but either here or in the notification it could just say it explicitly, in an ideal world. To be clear I am know what I am suggesting may well not be a reasonable, just stating it would make my life easier.
I had already seen this, to me, as I have sort of covered above, this is not really that helpful, in fact it could be said to be less so, as a pencil kind of implies at first look to suggest the text of the main post has been changed.
I realise now, there are some grammar and format mistakes in this part of post, it is too late for ME to edit it and I know I may get into to trouble for posting a redone version of this part of the post as a comment. So I will only do so with permission, particularly as I feel, you may be able to work out, what I meant to write.
I cannot it has been too long (it either has to do with my trust level or lack of forum position or a mixture of the two) this is what I see, just because you can, does not mean I can.
Let that be learn next time and maybe senior staff (using the term broadly) try to ensure junior staff are informed in matters like this (I suspect could considered pretty basic). I could go further but will leave it there.

I happy to leave the notification point there too much focus (largely from me) has been put on something I do not have a major issue with. On other point around @dhess not knowing something it is also fairly minor. What caused some annoyness was someone in trusted position virtually telling me I am wrong (I will accept on second reading he used the word should) without knowing what he/she/they is talking about, In what I perceived to be a basic and general matter, (thought it appears I may mistaken in this) rather a more specific programming related matter he/she/they may not have come across or not have good memory of. Particularly since I decided to subtly imply is was not the case for everyone by capitalising ME. Let me know if I should either had more explicit or capitalising a single word is not seen as a subtle.
Apologies for the massive length the sentence starting “What caused some annoyness” I could not work where I could put full stops.
I understand it can be an annoyance, but please also keep in mind that moderators are volunteers, and are not requested to study every little detail of how the software works
I now consider the first half of my initial post to be resolved probably more accurately the first half of main body.
Let me know if there is anything, I should do or say, to help resolve the second part, such what you would like to hear from me or whether it is time to start a new thread.
What I will say for now is am aware of Socrates (help bot) now though I was not at the time of making the initial post and have even used him once so far and willingly. So have no issue referring to him in your answers.
Secondly a statement along the lines of “nothing notable has changed around usage of the area* of the forum I am referring to here” should answer my query.
