Tell us what’s happening:
im not sure what the problem is, after going back in the lesson and looking through the forum, i feel confident ive correctly written the code, and for that reason also perturbed. i do not know why im unable to move on to the next level

When you specify the class name within the element, you do not precede it with a dot (.). Just remove the . in front of .small-image and you will be good to go.
