My first question is if I complete one section, will there also be a certificate?

Currently, there is no associated certification for those curricula. There might be in the future, but it is difficult with the content being completed locally.

Hello. The FreeCodeCamp certificates could easily be faked in Photoshop anyways, although not the URL
“Crypto” is a about “cryptography” anyway
The certificates could be encrypted with the decryption happening only on course-completion
Even if it might not be 100% secure and might not have a unique verifying URL it would help the codecamp students to improve their curriculum
Students mostly share their certificates about the course and this is the way how fcc gains popularity in the net
If you offer certs you help the students with their CVs and you make the camp more popular
“academic honesty” on FCC is like “sports honesty” on strava where you don’t upload fake workouts even if you know how to generate a .gpx workout file
Why would you fake a certificate if you can simply follow the course and complete it? It is not an “unattainable olympic medal”

These certificates are not accredited. So, it wouldnt make sense for anyone to try and photoshop one. The certificates are more for the users, and a sense of accomplishment
