So this is probably a really trivial question, inspired by social anxiety, but I am attending my first tech meetup today, which is centred around women in tech. There will be roughly 30 minutes of socialising time before an hour and a half of discussing user testing. What should I bring with me? Laptop, notepad, etc? Would hauling my laptop bag with me seem like over-kill? Thanks!

There will probably be some people with laptops and some without, so you won’t look weird either way.

You could always say you use your laptop for note taking! So if you arent doing any actual coding, you could always bring that up if other people didn’t happen to bring theirs
