Whats up with these companys

I have been looking at a bunch of indeed offers for junior web developemnts jobs.
All they require is a college degree. i dont get why they ae willing to train people just because they went to school. Is it even worth applying because im on here actually learning it the field. They ask for people who are learning css and html. but when i go on what they want is a degree in anything.

Its easier for a company to know what capabilities a college graduate has, so they prefer to hire people who have degrees.

But there are jobs out there for self taught developers. It’s just a bit harder to convince employers that you know what you are doing without a degree.

I guess for certain skill yes. These companys are offering all training without any coding knowledge.

That sounds dubious. I don’t really know of companies that are willing to pay you while they teach you how to program.
