}else if (strokes == par - 1){

Challenge: Golf Code

Link to the challenge:

Hello there.

Do you have a question?

If so, please edit your post to include it in the Tell us what’s happening section.

Learning to describe problems is an important part of learning how to code.

Also, the more information you give us, the more likely we are to be able to help.

else statements don’t require a conditional because they refer to all the remaining cases.
The general structure of these if/else chains is this:

if (conditionn one) {}
else if (condtion two) {}
else if (condtion three) {}
else {}

you should not add a condition to else but only to else if and if.
remove this condition

or add an if to it.

else if (strokes >= par + 3){
return "Go Home!";

sorry it’s my first time posting something here. I didn’t even think somebody would even respond haha but thanks
