Which programming language is the most valuable in the industry?

As a junior developer, I think JavaScript is one of most important languages. Everyone should leaning it. What other languages should I study? Currently, I’m focused on developing projects in JavaScript ( and its libraries) By the way, I’m in still in constant learning. I’m just curious to know about other important ones.

In regards to web development, I’d throw in TypeScript.

If you write JavaScript at a large scale, TypeScript becomes more and more viable to the point of becoming a near no-brainer.

Yes there is more upfront investment, but it pays off with a better developer experience.

Outside of web development you usually end up with a bunch of main-stays, like Java, Python, C#, C++, and C.
