Just started to learn Python and data science, but want to learn by doing! So who wants to join me on Kaggle for the beginners competitions https://www.kaggle.com/competitions?sortBy=prize&group=active&page=1&segment=gettingStarted?? We will start a Slack or Gitter channel to discuss and can also update our progress in this thread. We might not submit the end result/code as a team or live code together, but we can work on the same project in the same pace and share thoughts and code, help eachother etc.
hey i’m interested in doing this
Cool, I’ll send you a message!
Hi guys,
Good luck for that… I wont be joining for now but you gave me another item for my TODO list
I did not know about Kaggle but looks really interesting.
no problem, hit me up when you wanna join later
Hey!
I am a Data Analyst, Have basic experience in python and in the analytics field. Have visited Kaggle before, but I was not successful in doing it on a regular basis.
I want to join so that ,at least in a group I’ll be able to stick to the plan.
Hey cool, I will send you a message for your email address, so I can add you to the Slack team. Good to have you on board, I’m ok with Javascript but new with Python. I will probably ask you a lot of questions hope you don’t mind haha
Any time Mate!
Always happy to help!!
Here is a good post about the competitions we can join as beginners on Kaggle:

Today I followed along this blog post http://machinelearningmastery.com/machine-learning-in-python-step-by-step/ in a Jupyter Notebook and it’s a good one for beginners!
If I had seen this on March I would have joined you, any advice for a beginner besides the ones above?
