Why don't labs earn any points?

Hello! So I’m doing Freecodecamp in conjunction with Beeminder. I’ve been doing it for months and it has kept me motivated. My only issue is that the labs (or previously the certifications?) don’t seem to earn me any points, even though they take a lot of time to complete.

I have been completing Freecodecamp in small chunks… so many times I’ll do maybe 7 lessons in a day. But since the labs don’t earn any points… I often find myself putting them off. Is there any reason for why the labs don’t give any points? I saw a forum post from 2020 that said points are mostly a forgotten old feature on here, is that true? Thanks for everything!

P.S. I tried to post a link to beeminder dot com slash freecodecamp and I got an error that said I can’t post a link to that host?

That is still correct, points is not something that is maintained

you can open an issue on github if you want, that would be the best way for a chance that the issue is investigated, but you may get the same answer
