Why is JQuery taught when it is?

I just got through the basic algorithm and JSON section. Now I am beginning the intermediate front end development projects. It has been a week or two since I last saw JQuery and it feels like an entire-of-semester-of-college-ago. Would it not make sense to have the JQuery section right before JSON, and not the big ol’ JavaScript section? I do not remember using any of the knowledge gained in the JQuery section until I got to JSOL.

This is kind of a suggestion/rant. It would make so much more sense to teach JQuery when you need that info to be fresh

What order should I learn the FCC material?

Some people think that you shouldn’t bother learning tools until you understand what they’re built out of. They’ll tell you to skip Bootstrap and jQuery. Some people will tell you not to learn them at all. I’m not one of those people. I think that their placement in the curriculum creates a nice segue from CSS to JavaScipt.
