Alright, but now sice the BeautifulSoup is installed with pip, going back to the unaltered script might be a way to avoid other issues with changes.
From what I somewhat recall is reason why bs4.zip
is available to download there is to put it unpacked in folder with the script, what will make bs4
module available to the script. Without installing BeautifulSoup in the system.
I do appreciate you trying to help. I don’t know if you saw in one of me previous post, but I am a Systems Engineer… what does that mean… I try everything I can think of. I have done all of that. I’ve tried all of the suggestions, my own testing, and the original script. bs4 is there, beautifulsoup4 is installed, the bs4 is in the right folder … using scripts I’ve changed, or the original script, it does not do the import, therefore it blows up when you call on the module. At list point, following all of the directions and even the suggestions I’ve received… it still does not do the import… Obviously there is a reason… just finding it is not the obvious
I found the problem. I am using PyCharm. It lists the files and folders, but doesn’t designate what kind of folder it is. I went to explorer and saw the bs4 folder was the zip file folder, which I had unzipped but it makes a bs4 folder “under” the current folder(bs4 zipped). I copied the bs4 folder up one lever and it now works… Thanks again for your help.
