I want to add my experience of getting a front developer job offer.
I gave a talk in a tech conference (though my topic was not very technical. I wanted to give it a try.)
After the conference, another speaker on the conference (CTO of one tech startup) contacted me via Linkedin. He had listened my talk and asked me if Iām interested in a front end position in his company. We met several times to talk about position and my skills after that. I showed my code to the dev team and they gave me an offer.
This was a totally unexpected way to get a developer job offer. But it happened. I think exposing yourself in the community in your city like meet ups and conference is very important!
