Hello community folks, my name is Radhika from India.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all here in group. May 2025 brings wealth and prosperity in everyone’s life!
Would you suggest supplementing the Full Stack Cert with the other certs (responsive web…etc) or is starting and finishing the Full Stack Cert good enough to have a good foundation built?
I think Full stack curriculum cover’s all the curriculum challenge’s including responsive web designing and JavaScript.
Thank you, I started looking through it and am seeing a lot of similarities.
@nhcarrigan By the way, does the new curriculum intend to completely replace the old one, including stuff like machine learning and infosec, or will it not cover that kind of thing?
I am new to the forums.
I understand this is a beta program, but if we find issues, where is the best place to report them?
I noticed that the last question to the second lecture is not answered until the beginning of the third lecture’s video. I was already familiar with Learning How to Learn, so I instinctively answered it, before reviewing the video content multiple times to verify it was not in the second video.
Here is the question:
Thank you for the awesome content!
If you’re sure this is an issue, report it to FCC on GitHub. This will help with that.
Sweet!! Happy New Year indeed!
Thank you so much and Congratulations
I wanted to “Thank the writer” but had to use the Musk tool which I have never used and will continue to never use. Perhaps the BlueSky tool (which is my 1st social media) would allow me to properly “thank” the creators, writers, testers and all those involved with the new curriculum.
Thank you so much for this curriculum! I’ve started on the fullstack developer course and I was wondering when it the learning content will be fully released? Will be it early 2025 or late 2025? Thank you again for everything, I LOVE FCC!!!
I had started the HTML path about a year ago, got to the JavaScript section, and life happened. So a week ago I decided to come back, and fire up from the beginning. I was pleasantly surprised by the new Full Stack course, and dove right in.
The ARIA section is a slog…lots of short videos, tons of new things to learn, and nothing to break up the monotony. Might want to reconsider that section. Find a way to break it up, and practice some short codes, maybe mix in and refresh some of the earlier HTML stuff, with the new ARIA stuff. Bring up one of the old labs, and have us add ARIA to it.
Right now, no insult intended, this is constructive criticism with a potential solution included, but I never want to see ARIA ever again.
Rant over! Love everything…even the boring stuff, cause I know it is important, and helps others. Thanks a ton!
would you like to add this feedback to a GitHub Issues please?
@sz1369 we don’t have a timeline as we are working on it now
Yes – we’d welcome your help in 2025. And yes, we’re going to start development of the ML cert this year, too.
Sure thing. This is helpful feedback. I’ll keep this in mind as we move forward, and we may be able to break some of this up to make it feel more fresh.
Thanks for catching this. I’ve opened a GitHub issue to fix this.
We’re building 3 other large certifications, including one on Machine Learning. This Full Stack cert will replace the web dev-focused certs.
You can start using it now. We’ll publish the rest of the cert as we finish developing the coursework, with the last of it hopefully going live by summer.
It should all be live soon – hopefully by summer. Start now and you may be ready for the final exam when we get it live.
