These JS "lessons" just tell me what to do but don't explain why or how it works

Tbh, even if it did, it’s kind of a bad mindset to think that it’s always on the course to bring forth your understanding completely. If you don’t understand something completely from one resource and you want to get a better grasp, then there’s a million others out there. Chat gpt is also out there now so you could ask that one direct questions even nowadays.

Thank you for pointing this out! I’ve struggled with so many JS lessons because it feels like they need to torture you into “figuring it out yourself”, when all it does is discourages me from continuing on. I understand one needs to figure out problems by themself in the professional world, but this is supposed to be a learning environment. I been trying to learn this stuff for 2 years now. Currently stuck on the advanced algorithms in the legacy JS bootcamp.

That’s exactly why it’s good to practice this skill here, in a learning environment. You will practice how to solve problems on your own and grow this muscle.
