As a developer, entering the era of AI exhilarates and frightens me at the same time. It’s exciting to get to live in a generation where technology is the future (if not the present). Everyday’s tasks made easier with technology, hence replaceable with technology.
Starting off as a full stack website developer, I’ve asked ChatGPT, Blackbox and other AI’s to help me debug my code quite a lot. I’ve come to realize that they helped me debug a little too well. Made me start to wonder if clients will actually need a “Developer” to develop their websites or applications when they can just ask an AI to do so.
Well, do I just give up on coding and find another career that’s irreplaceable with AI? Nah, I love to code, and I can see myself doing this for a long time, if not my whole career. Which is why I’m currently transitioning into an AI Developer (maybe Machine Learning), in order to grow as a developer with AI development, not stand against the inevitable.
For starters, I just started learning Python as of May 2024, focusing on Data. Probably going to shift careers from a full stack developer into a Data Scientist (if given the chance). Pretty new to this, very open to pointers, tips and tricks from other fellow developers at the same boat as me.
Thanks for reading. Much love!
