I’m a retired IT professional who started programming in the late '60s and progressed through the ranks until I was CIO when I retired. I had a lot of different assignments and experiences using IT to support businesses over a 40+ year career. I’ve been retired about 20 years as of this writing (I’m 81 yo).

I’ve pursued hobbies in writing, woodworking, shooting, community service and now developing a web site using tools like HTML, CSS, js, php, etc. I’m new at this only having ever done one web site many years ago for my high school class using a text editor. Now I’m learning Visual Studio Code after trying to learn Sublime Text and using Notepad++. I think I’ll stay with VSC as it seems easier for me to deal with. I’ also learning to use GIT and github primarily to share my efforts with folks here at freeCodeCamp as I try to learn and create a web page.
