I am a middle aged widow.
I was an Analyst Programmer before I got married (about 25-30 years ago).
My son seems to have (inherited) some computer savvy and is an I.T. Technician. However, he has just started working for a local supermarket, as the computer shop was small and the salary was low.
Recently we have been able to add WiFi to the budget, so I now have access to online courses. Previously, cell phone data was too expensive to use for online studies.

I have always enjoyed programming and am learning FCC in order to gain knowledge of current technologies. Web design is fun, and I also enjoy Graphic Design.

I have completed the Responsive part of FCC and am busy with JS. I would like to learn Python as well. It is different to all the languages I learned so many, many years ago.
I will probably tackle React and NodeJS before Python, though, as they align more closely to Web design, which seems to by my most likely source of earning potential.

Hoping to be able to do web design (preferably working from home). We stay in a small sea-side village, with no large corporates (nearest city about 140km away), so working in an office is not really feasible.

I like to help others and check the forum for people who need assistance. Due to my extensive programming experience, I can help others with the understanding of universal concepts that are independent of technology or programming language.
