I am a retired Software Engineer. I go way back to the days before the web and UI’s (like Visual Basic, for example), back to the so-called “character” days when all prompts and inputs had to be positioned on the screen in the code. I developed several report generators and screen and program generators to avoid some of the tedious aspects of this code, and to produce consistent and readable code and reports. Now I have come back to coding for fun (and to see how things are done nowadays). What a large numbers of options there are. Many of which did not exist back then. And, I’m happy to say “I still got it!”
