I’m semi-retired and have decided keep my brain ticking by getting into full stack web application programming and hopefully master PWAs as well.
My intention is to pick up small contracts to supplement my retirement income.
I studied maths at uni in the 1980s and got into functional programming - Fortran, Pascal, Basic, RPN, a bit of C and Ada. I worked as programmer for 13 years before moving into education. I’m keen to modernise my skills (for fun as well as profit), currently focussing on learning the MERN stack in the first instance.
Retirement should be fun and I can’t think of a better way than creating apps for friends to help their day.
