Challenge: Algorithms - Find the Symmetric Difference

The following are the steps I took - for a pair of arrays;

  • Ensure the elements of the array are unique
  • Combine the elements of each array into a single one
  • Find the frequencies of the elements in the combined array
  • Filter out the elements with a frequency of 1 - these will form the symmetric difference of the pair

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

I’ll be sure to consider that in the future. That was my first time reaching out to help someone and I wasn’t sure on whether or not to post the code. Thank you for your correction
