Tell us what’s happening:

Your code so far

<style>
  div {
    width: 70%;
    height: 100px;
    margin:  50px auto;
    background: linear-gradient(
      53deg,
      #ccfffc,
      #ffcccf
    );
  }
  div: hover{
    transform: scale(1.1);
  }

</style>

<div></div>

You shouldn’t have a space : hover, but div:hover without the space.

Here is the code for you. Your mistake was a space between “div:” and “hover”
Happy Coding !!!

<style>
  div:hover {transform:scale(1.1)}
  div {
    width: 70%;
    height: 100px;
    margin:  50px auto;
    background: linear-gradient(
      53deg,
      #ccfffc,
      #ffcccf
    );
  }

</style>

<div></div>
