Artificial Inteligence - Training Modules

I have a AI script localy running on my computer.
Can it be trained or learn to perform a task even though I turn my computer off and stop the program?

I am trying to understand the basics of AI and Classifiers.

If you are running your script locally then yes, your computer must be on and your program must be running in order to train your modules.

If you are trying to learn the basics this should be a great intro to AI and machine learning.

For interest sake what kind of AI are you trying to train? is it like single module classifiers or a neural network?

I want to train an AI to recognize texts. Read the words and learn how to compare them with similar ones.
