Look closely at the values you are adding to get the running_total. Is there something extra there?

In your print(), were you asked to apply the str method?

thanks just fixed that and still not letting me proceed

running_total += (appetizers+main_courses+desserts+drinks

)

print('Total bill so far: ',running_total)

Try adding back the space between the comma and running_total.

remove the space inside the string, after the :
