I tried on Safari and Chrome, same issue. Am I missing something ?

I’m seeing this syntax error in the console:

SyntaxError: unknown: Missing initializer in const declaration. (7:21)

   5 | const fortune5 = "It would be wise to avoid the color red today.";
   6 | const randomNumber = Math.floor(Math.random() * (5 - 1) + 1);
>  7 | const selectedFortune; 
     |                      ^
   8 |
   9 | if (randomNumber == 1) {
  10 |   selectedFortune = fortune1;

Look at Line 7. Is that permitted with const?
