image from splash does not have a png or jpeg format and hence unable to insert in my html code, please help how? thanks

Because the link you have there isn’t an image. It’s a link to html page on unsplash. The best way to get the desired image of that web page is right click with your mouse and hit “copy image address” and use that link.
