so i keep trying to work on this first half, removing the firstStory variable, it checks off the other variables above, but when i bring it back, it unchecks them all and says im missing a semicolon in firstStory, but there is a semicolon??

im not quite sure what is wrong with it, the sentence is a copy and paste basically of what was given to me, but there’s nothing like an extra space or not

Are you trying to concatenate strings and variables? Look again where the red line is. Are those being concatenated?
