Tell us what’s happening:

it says the log is wrong i tried all the things but the “First story: [firstStory]” and same for the second story says its wrong i tried all the ways possible thats the only issue

There should be no brackets in your console.log(). Those are just used in the instructions to indicate a placeholder for the variable.

  2. What do square brackets [] create in JavaScript?

  3. So what is [firstStory]—a variable or something else?

  4. Do you need that here, or just the value?

  5. If you remove the brackets, what does your console.log become?

    [firstStory] → array
    firstStory → correct value

    Your answer: console.log(“First story: [”+firstStory+“]”);
    [firstStory]creates an array, not a variable reference.The task expects the value of the variable, not an array.
