Some of what you are asking is pretty trivial in the Free Code Camp context, so you might find that if you’re not getting the instruction and material you need in your current studies, the FCC curriculum will really help you get started. It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.
How would you solve this issue by hand?
Try doing that, try to write down the steps you took inbetween getting the number and getting the result. Then think about how these steps can be translated to Python.
