I did have the same experience than you with the same course. I do not know the exact technical reasons that caused it but I have my own intuition and suspicion. I think once you finish the passing the test the gitpod is supposed to make a call to freecodecamp with the result (in another normal course, that will manifest with a check mark in the course), at times, your browser will need to hard refresh to see the result.
What I did was to refresh a couple times and I did enter the github url entry again (where I had the sql dump) and it did work.
