Changing margins of checkboxes

Hey guys! Just a quick syntax question. I am trying to changing the margin of my checkboxes.

I believe I need to enter the following code somewhere along the way, but I’m not sure where to put it. Any help would be appreciated!

[type=‘checkbox’] {
margin: 10px 0px 15px 0px

Your code so far

<link href="" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
  .red-text {
    color: red;

  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, monospace;

  p {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-family: monospace;

  .thick-green-border {
    border-color: green;
    border-width: 10px;
    border-style: solid;
    border-radius: 50%;

  .smaller-image {
    width: 100px;

  .silver-background {
    background-color: silver;

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
  <p class="red-text">Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>
  <a href="#"><img class="smaller-image thick-green-border" src="" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>
  <div class="silver-background">
    <p>Things cats love:</p>
      <li>cat nip</li>
      <li>laser pointers</li>
    <p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
      <li>flea treatment</li>
      <li>other cats</li>
  <form action="/submit-cat-photo" id="cat-photo-form">
    <label><input type="radio" [type='checkbox'] {
    margin: 10px 0px 15px 0px
  } name="indoor-outdoor" checked> Indoor</label>
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Outdoor</label><br>
    <label><input type="checkbox" margin-top: 10px; name="personality" checked> Loving</label>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Lazy</label>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Energetic</label><br>
    <input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL" required>
    <button type="submit">Submit</button>

Link to the challenge:

Your CSS code should be like this -
input[type=checkbox] {
. . . . .
And in HTML code, it must be -

<label><input type="checkbox" ></label>

You can use inline styling using <style> tag. Ex:
<label> <input type="checkbox" style="margin: 10px 0px 15px 0px"></label>
Thats it!!

I’m still a bit lost. Where in my code do I insert the CSS code? Here are my exact instructions:

“Using the type attribute selector, try to give the checkboxes in CatPhotoApp a top margin of 10px and a bottom margin of 15px.”

Your style is valid and should work as is.

That would go between the <style></style> tags with the other css.

Each line should end with a ; as in the example

(If you used copy / paste then your quotation marks may need to be replaced in the code editor. when copying code the quotes are often somehow different.)

Thank you both! I was trying to place it inside the functions, but I needed to place it in the instead.
