Please add closed captioning to all of your videos. Auto-generating subtitles only will hear what the person, background noise etc but it is not accurate and non-immersive as equally as hearing people. In case of you wonder about auto-generating subtitle is helpful but It has errors since it only hear AS BEST AS IT COULD which is not equal accessible for us so please add the closed captioning like type it out everything what it, he, she saying since web development heavily emphasizes on web accessibility for everyone! Please!

freeCodeCamp doesn’t have the resources to create CC for all the videos, and there isn’t an interface that allows for volunteers to create the subtitles, since YouTube removed the option a few years back. The automatic subtitles is the best possible at this time.

Thanks for this suggestion. We are working on a system to generate subtitles with an AI program called whisper that is much better than the auto captions on YouTube. We won’t be able to create human generated subtitles for all our videos but I hope that the whisper subtitles will work for you once we get more of them live.
