Tell us what’s happening:

I am not able to verify trophy. It says my account has not earned this trophy. Its asking me to unlink the microsoft account. I am not quite sure how to get the trophy. Please advise.

I am not sure what progress you have made in Microsoft Learn, which is where the trophy is given.
There are six (6) parts to the training at Microsoft Learn. The link below is the start point of the six (6) part series.

The Create and Run Simple C# Console Applications is part two (2), available at the link below:

You need to complete at least part two (2) to be able to verify the trophy from Microsoft Learn.

If you have already completed part two (2), my suggestion would be:

  1. Unlink your Microsoft account from your freeCodeCamp account.
  2. Select to link your Microsoft Account to your freeCodeCamp account.
    2a) You may need to log into Microsoft Learn at this point.
  3. At your Microsoft Learn profile, you need to:
    3a) Select and click the “Transcript” in the menu on the left side of the page, then
    3b) Select and click the “Share link” item, towards the top right of the page, underneath the display of your name, your Level, etc. The Share link item is underneath where your Level is shown.
    3c) Depending on whether you have created a link to share previously determines how you proceed.
    3ci) If you have not created a link to share previously, then create the link to share now, then go to (3d) below.
    3cii) If you have created the link to share previously, go to (3d) below.
    3d) After the link to share has been created, you copy the link to share.
  4. Back in your freeCodeCamp profile, link your Microsoft account with this link you have just copied.
  5. You should be able to verify the trophy from Microsoft at this point, as long as you have completed the Trophy at the Microsoft Learn web site.
