This challenge makes me to do some research in emoji and Unicode in Python coding, two areas that Iβm not familiar. The research work tells me country flag emojis are represented by a sequence of two Unicode regional indicator symbols (π¦-πΏ), corresponding to the two letters country codes(A-Z). So if I have the Unicode value of π¦, I can use ``ord(βπ¦β) - ord(βAβ)`` to get the offset and find the corresponding values of other letters. But the problem is then how to type π¦. At first I simply copied π¦ from webpage and pasted it, and the program did work. But I still wanted to type π¦ from keyboard, and Wikipedia states the codepoint of π¦ is U+1F1E6. But when I tried ``ord(βU+1F1E6β)``, it raised an error. A further search indicated U+1F1E6 equalled to 0x1F1E6 in hexadecimal number and Unicode characters could be declared as string in Python by using \u(for 4 digits) or \U (for 8 digits) escape plus the hex numbers, but ord("\U0x1F1E6") and ord(β\U1F1E6β) yielded another errors. Only then I discovered I had to pad zeros myself to make it 8 digits, so ord("\U0001F1E6") finally worked. I want to know is there any way to convert U+ format Unicode codepoints into Python recognizable form other than doing the convertion myself?
