Flexbox and minmax() sizing

Hi all!
Playing around with flexboxes and the minmax-function. In this example, I set a max of 2fr, but the boxes will not expand to 2fr for all cells, if there is sufficient space.
What is my mistake please?
Thank you so much!

As long as the fr value is not being shared with other fr values it won’t matter if you set it to 1 or 10 (or 100)

Try using a simple 3 column layout and using all fr values and see the difference.

.inhalt3 {
  display: grid;
  padding: 2rem;
  grid-gap: 1rem;
  grid-template-columns: 1fr 4fr 2fr;

Edit: Also this is grid, not flexbox.

Hm , wanted to use this autofill-option to put as many columns next to each other as possible. Size limited with minmax (x,y). Found this trick here , to make grids more responsive. But you can not play around with the y-value in fr-measurements.
