Hello I want to make a 1200x800 image to 1920x1280

Ok so this is the
normal image 1280x800 https://i.postimg.cc/s2fNFb8B/mac.jpg
And this is the 1920x1280 I tried to do. https://i.postimg.cc/X7fGGvNC/kopia.png

Im trying to make this website https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/tryw3css_templates_startup.htm

I want to make my 1280x800 image look like that when it’s desktop screen.

I tried making it 1920x1280 but now I see SO many pixels and it just looks bad. Do I really need photoshop to upscale better photos? Or am I doing something wrong.

I tried using gimp and some online websites that made photos bigger.

I am not very knowledgeable in this area and some of this information may be incorrect so hopefully someone else can shed some more light on this issue.

From what I do know (i think?) you cannot embiggen raster images like jpg and png without it becoming pixelated as you have noticed.

In order to easily scale images up without loss of quality you must have a vector image format like svg

But then it turns black and white looked around on the internet havent found a answer yet that will make it back to the normal colors.

You should copy the original image then edit the copy, so if you mess it up the copy, you can always revert back to the original

Ye losing the image is not a problem i have copies and i can always get a new one from internet

You could always use placeholder images for now, and substitute them for production images when you have them.

This is true; unfortunately what you want to do is not possible with a JPEG.
