Hover an object to make another object apear

Basically i got several boxes with the city picture as a background image , on the bottom corner of the box i got a small black text with a white background mentioning the name of the city , now how i code CSS in way that when hovering over the box will triggers the text and its background to go from width 0% to width 100% , animated of course (no javascript)
