How to include thumbnails for Personal Portfolio Project

Hi,

I am wondering how thumbnail images of websites are created to be put onto a grid row. Is there a special API or is it just about taking a screen shot of the website and use it as an image, then link it to the web address?

Many thanks,

Kind regards,
Jasmine

You can always take a screenshot of your page. Chrome has a “Capture screenshot” option when you open the devtools.

Hi Kev,

I knew that but was wondering if there is other ways than taking a screen shot.

Thanks,

Kind regards,

This one looks promising. I don’t know if there are usage limitations though

Ah, thanks. So I guess there isn’t a special class to include website thumbnail. Everything has to be done via screen shots…

Thanks.

Have you tried using an iframe element? It accepts a url value in its src attribute.

Not sure what platform you are using for your project but maybe try
iframe src=“url”>page name</iframe

Just add the start “<” and “>” end since I left them out since this post was generating an iframe lol.

I just finished reading through a book on html and css by Shay Howe

Here’s a link to his online version, look under “Adding inline-frames”

Hope it helps
