How to size image. I am not sure why this code isn't working

I am being dinged because of the img class (smaller-image) but I think it’s there. I am not sure what the problem is.

  **Your code so far**

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
.red-text {
  color: red;
}
 h2 {
  font-family: Lobster, monospace;
}

  p {
  font-size: 16px;
  font-family: monospace;
  .smaller-image {
  width: 100px;
}
</style>
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>
<p class="red-text">Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>

<a href="#"><img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

<div>
  <p>Things cats love:</p>
  <ul>
    <li>cat nip</li>
    <li>laser pointers</li>
    <li>lasagna</li>
  </ul>
  <p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
  <ol>
    <li>flea treatment</li>
    <li>thunder</li>
    <li>other cats</li>
  </ol>
</div>

Challenge: Size Your Images

Link to the challenge:

You have a CSS rule inside of a CSS rule.

Where does it go? I tried everywhere and this is the only location I got 1 right

You should have two totally separate CSS rules, one after the other.

I’m confused I did exactly as the example. Is it the location spacing , do I need to add the there?

In that section I quoted, you started the smaller-image CSS rule before closing the p rule. Check your opening and closing {}s.

Ah. I closed it but still didn’t work. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

p {

    font-size: 16px;

    font-family: monospace;

}

    .smaller-image {

    width: 100px;

  }

Have you added the class to the image element?

I guess it deleted it when trying to figure it out. it worked. :pray:
