I think you are jumping too far ahead. This step is asking you to do just one thing:

“In the .green CSS rule, change the background-color property to background .”

That’s it, nothing else. Restart the step and then just change the name of that one property. You will do the rest in the following steps.

To be fair, I do see how the way the instructions are worded could cause this confusion.

Exactly, I read the first part so I thought all they were asking me was to do it the way I did the first one, that was where I got it all wrong
