“Last, copy the “footer” image to the images folder.” is the last instruction for that lesson and the correct solution is “cp footer.jpg images” since the file name is footer.jpg but the hint says “cp footer.jpeg images”. The problem I’m having now is that, neither my solution nor the hint is passing the test. What should I do?
can you take a screen shot of the whole editor (including the instructions and what you typed) and show it to us here?

I would click the Reset button and let CodeRoad reset the files for you.
Then, after it is completely done, close this terminal and open a new one and go to the directory that this step is supposed to be run from (which one, I’m not sure, but I don’t think it is /images, so it might be the /website. You can confirm by reviewing the older steps from the menu at the top left of the coderoad panel)

So, the question is, how do I save my progress so that I can resume from where I left off, even after shutting down my PC?
well, i’m not sure why? Did you try clicking the reset button? (what happened after you tried that?)
Are you running on codespaces?
You just need to reopen the specific workspace from the codespace dashboard to get back your progress.
For eg when I look at my codespaces, I see 2 right now:
