Describe your issue in detail here.

Hey, I have tried to get this code to pass for a while now, I have looked up what could be wrong and I can’t figure it out. I am trying to link the HTML file with the CSS file, and functionally it works but freecodecamp won’t take my code. I don’t think I spelled anything wrong. It keeps saying " You should have one self-closing link element" ??? Ive tried closing with: link …/> and link …>

  **Your code so far**
/* file: index.html */
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
  <meta charset="utf-8" />
  <title>Cafe Menu</title>
**  <link rel="stylesheet" typle="text/css" href="styles.css"/> **
</head>
<body>
  <header>
    <h1>CAMPER CAFE</h1>
    <p>Est. 2020</p>
  </header>
  <main>
    <section>
      <h2>Coffee</h2>
    </section>
  </main>
</body>
</html>
/* file: styles.css */
h1, h2, p {
text-align: center;
}

There’s a typo in there. But the tests don’t test for it anyway because you don’t need a type attribute when linking a CSS file.

I’m not sure why your HTML isn’t passing because it’s passing for me (even with that typo) with both Chrome and FF on linux.

Perhaps you have a browser extension installed that is messing with the HTML? You might try disabling any extensions until you find the one that is causing problems (if indeed that is the issue).
