Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu - Step 20

Step 20

The div element is used mainly for design layout purposes unlike the other content elements you have used so far. Add a div element inside the body element and then move all the other elements inside the new div.

Test

Sorry, your code does not pass. Hang in there.

Hint

Your div tag should be nested in the body.

Your code so far

<!-- file: index.html -->
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8" />
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
    <title>Cafe Menu</title>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet"/>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

<body>
  <div>
    <header>
      <h1>CAMPER CAFE</h1>
      <p>Est. 2020</p>
    </header>
    <main>
      <section>
        <h2>Coffee</h2>
      </section>
    </main>
  </div>
  </body>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

</html>
/* file: styles.css */
body {
  background-color: burlywood;
}

h1, h2, p {
  text-align: center;
}

What happened to the closing </head> tag?

I add head closing tag , but it’s still showing that error

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8" />
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
    <title>Cafe Menu</title>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
  </head>
<body>
    <div>
    <main>
      <h1>CAMPER CAFE</h1>
      <p>Est. 2020</p>
      <section>
        <h2>Coffee</h2>
      </section>
    </main>
    </div>
  </body>
</html>

Hmm, I don’t know? I just tried your code and it passed for me.
