Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 121

Tell us what’s happening:

"In Step 121, I’ve implemented the logic to generate random damage to the monster during an attack. The formula used ensures variability in the inflicted damage by adding a random number between 1 and the value of xp to the current weapon’s power. However, although the code implementation resolves the issue, the automated tests are failing. I’m further investigating to identify and rectify any issues causing the test failures.

Here is the code:
monsterHealth -= weapons[currentWeapon].power + Math.floor(Math.random() * xp) + 1;

2024-04-05T06:00:00Z

that looks correct. Can you share all the code in the file?

Additionally, in Step 121, only the line of code that I need to implement is provided, and the rest of the code context is not included as in the other exercises.

you are subtracting weapons[currentWeapon].power twice, you should have only one of these two lines

if I copy your code and remove that first line, it passes

I understood what I was doing wrong, I had deleted the rest of the code and that’s why it wasn’t working.
