Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 166

Tell us what’s happening:

This is my code:

text.innerText = "You picked " + guess + "\n. Here are the random numbers: ";

I have tried moving \n in and out of the brackets to no success. I have added a space to the end of the quote. Can anyone please help me?

Hi @fitzgeraldp

At the end of the string, before the final quote, insert the new line escape character \n . This will cause the next part you add to text.innerText to appear on a new line.

Please reset the step to restore the original code.
Then place the new line character at the end of the second string.

This way, everything added to the text variable will appear on a new line.

Happy coding
