Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 46

Tell us what’s happening:

Hello there, I have a question because the code passed but it didn’t work on the preview, let me explain. When I click “go to store” the text should change from “Welcome to Dragon Repeller. You must defeat the dragon that is preventing people from leaving the town. You are in the town square. Where do you want to go? Use the buttons above.” to: “You enter the store.”

However, my code passed the test but whenever I click “go to store” the text doesn’t change. It stays the same. So while I’m not having problems getting my code to pass it’s not working how it should. Any idea why?

Challenge Information:

Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 47

This is in step 46 not 47. I’m currently at 47 because my code passed the test but the text didn’t update in the preview. It still doesn’t update in lesson 47!

For easier understanding I coded this in the “function goStore() {}” in the script.js

edit: for some reason it works on step 48…

In this individual challenge, you created the buyHealth , buyWeapon , goTown functions. In step 46, the code evaluator stopped in step 46 because the methods didn’t exist. When the methods are added in, then the text will finally work properly when the player enters the store.
