Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 57

Tell us what’s happening:

I’m having trouble with this step. I’ve read replies about using commas, but I’m not sure. The error console says the first location should have a text property and it should be a string - but I don’t know how to get there.

Step 57
Add one final property to the object named text. Give this property the same string value as the one assigned to text.innerText in the goTown function.

// User Editable Region

const locations = [
{
name: “town square”,
“button text”: [“Go to store”, “Go to cave”, “Fight dragon”],
“button functions”: [goStore, goCave, fightDragon],
}
];

Learn Basic JavaScript by Building a Role Playing Game - Step 57

you need to add a new key: value pair inside the object, this one it says that the key has to be name and the value has to be “the same string value as the one assigned to text.innerText in the goTown function”

you have a comma at the end of this line, so you don’t need to wory about that. Put the cursor after the comma, use Enter to create a new line, and add the key: value pair
