Learn Basic String and Array Methods by Building a Music Player - Step 13

Tell us what’s happening:

im not sure what exactally to do but it says: Pass in a callback function to the map() method. The callback function should take song as a parameter, use the arrow function syntax, and have an empty body. also it gives me this error: SyntaxError: unknown: Unexpected token (90:39) 88 | 89 | const renderSongs = (array) => { > 90 | const songsHTML = array.map(song => () ); | ^ 91 | }; 92 |

I am having the same issue:

The instructions state to leave to function body empty; however, it will not allow the code to be submitted that way… nothing happens.

If you put something in the body, as shown below, it keeps stating that the callback function must be declared using arrow notation:

you have to create a new arrow function passing in the “song” variable and leaving the body blank as below.
const songsHTML = array.map((song) => {});

replace the last song with {} to make it work like so: const songsHTML = array.map((song) => {});

thank you very much :pray:

I still don’t get why there’s a double parenthesis before the parameter and a parenthesis outside the function.
